Injections for double chin
Deoxycholic acid (known as Belkyra in Canada) is a non-surgical, injectable procedure.
These treatments result in reduced double chin fat to highlight the jawline and improve neck contour.
Deoxycholic acid closely resembles a naturally occurring enzyme found in the body that breaks down and destroys dietary fat.
Most patients will require 2-4 treatments although some may prefer up to six.
A Belkyra procedure takes less than one hour, and sessions are typically spaced 1-2 months apart giving patients flexibility and control within their schedules. Once desired results are achieved no long-term ongoing maintenance is required.
Swelling and bruising may occur lasting a few days and patients are reminded to schedule treatments accordingly. Patients may resume their regular daily activities immediately following treatment.
